Bulgaria, finally (May 2004)

I had four days off and decided to spend them in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. After having experienced Prague and Florence in 2002 and 2003 at this same time of year, I was happy with this year's choice. Most of the time I had the feeling I was the only tourist around. I really enjoyed my stay in this green and friendly city, and the icing on the cake was a visit to the Rila Monastery - a world class sight.
