New WHS 2010 (August 2010)

The new additions have been made public at the WHC meeting in Brasilia. My score this year turned out better than the previous years, when the WHS got more and more obscure. 2010 shows some promising entries, including Amsterdam of course!

. Central Highlands
. Jantar Mantar
. Hahoe and Yangdong
. Amsterdam Canal Ring

Friesland (May 2003)

On the Dutch national windmill and pumping station day, I visited the Woudagemaal in the northern province of Friesland.

Pampus (October 2002)

The Defense Line of Amsterdam consists of over 40 fortresses and batteries. They are spread out in a large area around the Dutch capital Amsterdam. On a beautiful autumn day I visited Muiden and the island fortress of Pampus.
