Profile Assif Am-David
I first got exposed to the whs list about two years ago. This website certainly contributed to my interest in it as I find the very idea of enlisting cultural and natural goods in order to preserve them for future generations a great one.
I wouldn't visit a whs only because it is one ; I try to visit sites which I would find interesting regardless of the list (not all sites seem appealing to me). However, the list has revealed to me some interesting sites I wouldn't probably have travelled to otherwise. It is also interesting to analyse the choices of sites as they sometimes expose us to valuable information, usually unavailable in the normal tourist guide.
I love travelling and try to travel 2-3 times a year. Living in Israel, flights abroad are quite expensive so I hope money will not limit me too much in the future so that I can keep up to my current paste.
My main fields of interest are music, history of art, linguistics, philosophy, theatre and current politics. Natural sciences, cooking, archaeology, history and cinema take a second place.
