Jorge Sanchez (Spain):
Pskov is a lovely historical town near the border with Estonia.

I made a full day stop there during my train journey from Novgorod to Tallinn and visited, apart from the beautiful Kremlin and the cathedral, the interesting Mirozhsky Monastery with its XII century frescoes, which is under the list of Patrimonies of the Humankind by the UNESCO.
The main wonders of Mirozhsky Monastery are the well preserved frescoes painted by Byzantine artists.

(If you are interested in icons and frescoes art, I strongly recommend you to watch Andrei Tarkovski film “Andrei Rublev”).
