Biologist, entomologist, outdoor enthusiast, scuba-diver, birder and traveler from Québec interested in discovering the world and its wonders! I did my first oversea backpacking trip in 2018 following my master and I don't want to stop any time soon. I am mostly interested in ecology, national parks and thus natural WHS, but being a WHS hunter opens my mind to architecture, history of art, urban planning, industrial heritage and the epic history of the World!

My most impressive site: Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks, Göreme, Gunung Mulu, Los Glaciares, Machu Picchu, Rome, Tikal

Puebla is an exceptional colonial city, probably the most beautiful in Mexico along with Guanajuato. I spent three days there in March 2019. The remarkable, heterogeneous and often flamboyant …

I visited Troy in July 2018. Despite the fame, legend and mythical side of the site, I remember it as a rather banal archaeological site. I was taking part in …

I am an entomologist, both amateurly and professionally. This means that my job is to study insects, but that I also collect insects as an amateur out of passion. In …

Rideau Canal

Since my mother has family in Ottawa, I have visited the Rideau Canal several times. However, these were family waterfront strolls and not discoveries with a WHS hunting mindset. During …

Hospicio Cabañas

When it comes to entertainment, I don't appreciate works full of good sentiments, stories that end well and feel-good movies. I like to be overwhelmed by powerful emotions turning into …

Central University City Campus of the UNAM

La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) is a very (if not the most) important university in Latin America, and its campus is gigantic. I honestly had not realised how …

When reading about Huascaran before my travel, I learnt three important things:

  1. Those mountains look incredibly beautiful.
  2. They can be visited on multi-day treks or day hikes.
  3. January and February …
