Tallin old town is one of the best kept towns of the similar kind around the Baltic Sea. A visit is highly recommended.

If you have more time in Tallin, do try to walk around east of the city centre to see the mix of unrestored houses from Soviet times and all the new houses in very modern style built after the new independence of Estonia.
