Bosnia Herzegovina

2.66 5 9

Bosnia and Herzegovina ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 12 July 1993, inheriting its status from the former Yugoslavia.

Its inscribed sites span both cultural and natural heritage. Cultural listings include the iconic Ottoman-era Stari Most in Mostar, the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, and medieval stećci tombstones, highlighting themes of multicultural urban legacies and historic architectural craftsmanship. The natural inscription, the Perućica primeval forest within Sutjeska National Park, reflects old-growth ecosystems and conservation value
