Djibouti ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 30 August 2007, making both its natural and cultural heritage eligible for nomination.
Although it has no inscribed sites yet, its tentative list includes a blend of natural and cultural properties—from salt lakes and national parks to rock engravings and historic urban landscapes.
