Cerro el Plomo high shrine
The Cerro el Plomo high shrine was an Inca sanctuary on an over 5,000m high mountain. It was dedicated to the Sun god: Inti. In 1954 a mummy of an approximately nine-year-old child was found on the summit, probably sacrificed by the Incas in a ritual.
