Abbey of Kremsmünster
Abbey of Kremsmünster has been part of the Tentative list of Austria.
The Abbey of Kremsmünster is a Benedictine monastery founded in 777. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the monastery was extensively expanded and remodelled in the Baroque style. The most remarkable structures are the 51-metre-high "Mathematical Tower", one of the oldest observatories in Central Europe, and the "Fischkalter", baroque water basins for fish farming.

We visited Kremsmünster in September 2014. We arrived at night and slept on the big carpark. In the morning we had a nice walk through the halls of the Abbey. Not bad, as we were the only people, but certainly not unique, only one of the many abbeys in Austria.
