Hanbury botanical gardens
Hanbury botanical gardens is a historical botanic garden in the Ligurian Riviera region, established in 1867 by the Englishman Thomas Hanbury. It is the most accomplished example of the integration of acclimatising plants, particularly extra-European exotic plants, along slopes and in a landscape context of markedly Mediterranean nature. The gardens were a model for the villa-garden system of western Liguria.
