The Historic ensemble of Qasr-e Shirin was an important caravanserai on the trade route between Baghdad and Persia. It includes architectural and urban remains from the late Sassanian period and the early Islamic period. They include the 7th century palace of Khosrow, the Chahar Qapu monument, remains of a stone tower and remains of a caravansarai.
NOTE: THERE IS A MORE RECENT VERSION OF THIS TWHS FROM 2007 ("Historical Ensemble of Qasr-e Shirin") which has a map.
