Ayquina and Toconce
Ayquina and Toconce is part of the Tentative list of Chile in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Ayquina and Toconce are two Andean villages where people have long lived based on breeding of camelids and growing of vegetables. The local people created agricultural terraces on the steep slopes. Both towns are also closely related to ritual festivities the show the continuity of this Andean culture.
