Les oasis à foggaras et les ksour du Grand Erg Occidental is part of the Tentative list of Algeria in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

The oases in the Saouara Valley and the Grand Erg Occidental form a cultural landscape in the Sahara desert.
