Wadi Howar National Park
Wadi Howar National Park is part of the Tentative list of Sudan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Wadi Howar National Park comprises an extinct chain of marshes and lakes. At over 100,000 km2, it is one of the largest national parks in the world. Wadi Howar is the remnant of the ancient Yellow Nile, a tributary of the Nile.
