Historical Town The Royal of the Eleven Thousand Virgins of Cosala in Sinaloa is part of the Tentative list of Mexico in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Cosala is a mining town founded in the 16th century in the Sinaloa mountains. The topography forced the adoption of an irregular street plan. The architecture of the city is a good example of the rural architecture of northwestern Mexico.
