Gravures et peintures rupestres de l'Ennedi et du Tibesti is part of the Tentative list of Chad in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of Ennedi Massif WHS.
In the Tibesti massif and its surroundings, 200 rock engravings and about 60 rock paintings have been found. The oldest date back to the 4th millennium BC. They show animals that have since died out due to climate change in the Tibesti, including elephants, rhinoceros, hippopotamus and giraffes. Later works show people and village life.
