Atol das Rocas
Reserve biologique de Atol das Rocas (Rio Grande do Norte) is part of the Tentative list of Brazil in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Atol das Rocas Biological Reserve was created to protect nesting sea turtles and migratory seabirds. It lies on and around the small Atol das Rocas, 266km off the Brazilian North-East coast. It has already been inscribed as part of the “Brazilian Atlantic Islands: Fernando de Noronha and Atol das Rocas Reserves” WHS.
