Cat Tien National Park
Cat Tien National Park is part of the Tentative list of Viet Nam in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Cat Tien National Park protects one of the largest areas of lowland tropical forest remaining in Vietnam, and has been recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Zone. The park is located in the transition zone where the Truong Son highlands meet the Southern Plain, and supports an abundance of plants and animals. The park protects endangered species, including the golden-cheeked gibbon, the Asian elephant, and the Sunda pangolin.
