Les chutes de la Karera et la faille de Nyakazu is part of the Tentative list of Burundi in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The falls of Karera and the fault of Nyakazu are natural features in the Nkoma massif. The waterfalls are divided into 6 branches and spread out over 3 levels. At the tip of the falls is a cave where people come to worship. The Nyakazu fault is of tectonic origin.
