Ensemble of the Astrakhan Kremlin
Ensemble of the Astrakhan Kremlin is part of the Tentative list of Russia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Astrakhan Kremlin is a stone fortress from the 17th-18th centuries. It was an inapproachable stronghold in the south-eastern border of Russia and related to a series of historical events. Inside its walls lies the Assumption Cathedral and other religious and administrative buildings.
