Le Parc National de Conkouati-Douli
Le Parc National de Conkouati-Douli is part of the Tentative list of Congo (Republic) in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Conkouati-Douli is a national park with marine and terrestrial components. The park's ecosystems include, in addition to the sea, mangroves, flood-prone coastal forests, dense forests, savannahs and wetlands. These are home to species as varied as elephants, buffaloes, gorillas, panthers, chimpanzees, mandrills, manatees, humpback whales, dolphins and sea turtles. It is an important nesting site for turtles.
