Central Balkan National Park
Central Balkan National Park is part of the Tentative list of Bulgaria in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Central Balkan National Park includes the highest parts of Stara Planina Mountain range covered with forests and mountain pastures. It has one of the largest primeval beech forests in Europe. Novoselski Rocks, Peeshti Rocks and Taja Gorge are three large granite outcrops. All 9 reserves within the park have already been inscribed as part of the Primeval Beech Forests WHS.
