Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary (SWS)
Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary (SWS) is part of the Tentative list of Bhutan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its floral diversity, especially concerning Rhododendrons. It lies in a remote part of Bhutan, where the semi-nomadic Brokpa people live and tend to their yaks. The Brokpas have their own dialect, customs and continue to practice polyandry. Even a yeti-like creature (the migoi) is said to live in these areas.
