Desert Landscapes of the Mongolian Great Gobi
Desert Landscapes of the Mongolian Great Gobi is part of the Tentative list of Mongolia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Desert Landscapes of the Mongolian Great Gobi proposal includes three parts of the Great Gobi and Small Gobi Strictly Protected Areas covering more than six million hectares. In the Mongolian Gobi, several major geographic regions with specific ecological conditions, vegetation and landforms can be distinguished. The areas encompass important populations of threatened and endangered species such as gobi bear, wild bactrian camel, and snow leopard.
