Archaeological Site at Khuduu Aral
Archaeological Site at Khuduu Aral and Surrounding Cultural Landscape is part of the Tentative list of Mongolia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Khuduu Aral is a steppe located between the Kherlen and Tsenkher rivers, covering an area of more than 100,000 hectares. The area has a considerable number of archaeological sites dating from the Stone Age to the 18th century. Most notable are the ruins of the city of Aurag with the palace of Genghis Khan.
