Deim Zubeir – Slave route site
Deim Zubeir – Slave route site is part of the Tentative list of South Sudan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Deim Zubeir comprises the remains of a notorious 19th century slave camp. It was connected to the North Africa, Arab and Asian-led slave trade. Built structures such as trenches and a fort have been preserved.
