Abylaikit Monastery
Abylaikit Monastery is part of the Tentative list of Kazakhstan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Abylaikit Monastery comprises the remains of a 17th-century Buddhist religious complex. It was built during the Zunghar Khanate in a Tibetan-Mongolian style by western Mongols (Oirats). It is known for its collection of Buddhist relics and texts.
