Valley of the Kings of Tuva
Valley of the Kings of Tuva is part of the Tentative list of Russia in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Valley of the Kings of Tuva comprises ca. 1,000 stone burial mounds. They were the burial sites for the local elite from the 1st millennium BC, in what is believed to be the ancestral homeland of the Scythian culture. Excavations have produced rich gold jewelry findings.
