Grottes de Lastoursville
Grottes de Lastoursville is part of the Tentative list of Gabon in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Grottes de Lastourville is a karstic landscape located in the forests of central Gabon. Nearly 35 cavities have been identified in the dolomitic formations surrounding the city, some with remarkable 150 m high vaults and other exceptional geological formations. Evidence of human occupation of the caves dating back to the Stone Age has been found in these, mainly in the Pahon cave.
