Yerba Mate Cultural Landscape
Yerba Mate Cultural Landscape is part of the Tentative list of Paraguay in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Yerba Mate Cultural Landscape is associated with the production of the drink yerba mate. In pre-Columbian times, the Guarani population drank it as an infusion. The area shows different models of yerba mate production, from traditional to industrial. It also has sites where yerba mate is found in nature.
