European Paper Mills (Capellades Paper Mill)
European Paper Mills (from the era of hand-made paper) (Spain) is part of the Tentative list of Spain in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Capellades Paper Mill ("MolĂ de la Vila") dates back to 1748. It lies in a favourable location due to the abundance of water. The mills in this area were the most important paper-production centres in (colonial) Spain in the18th and 19th centuries. The mill now houses a Papermaking Museum.
