Parc National Historique des Matheux
Parc National Historique des Matheux - Chemin du café, de l’esclavage et de la liberté is part of the Tentative list of Haiti in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The National Historic Park of Matheux comprises ruins of former coffee plantations and fortifications. In the second half of the 18th century, a plantation model including widespread slavery was used to cultivate coffee here on a large scale.
