Le centre historique de Tétouan
Le centre historique de Tétouan is part of the Tentative list of Morocco in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List. It is a proposed extension of Medina of Tétouan WHS.
The historic center of Tetouan comprises the Medina and the Ensanche, a 19th-century urban extension built during the period of the Spanish protectorate. The Ensanche is characterized by its planned layout, with public squares and gardens.
