Ancient Gabala City

Ancient Gabala City is part of the Tentative list of Azerbaijan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.

Ancient Gabala City comprises a multi-layered archaeological complex spanning from the times of the Ancient Greeks to the Ottomans. Its features include large-sized oval food storage buildings and a stone and brick castle. Gabala was the ancient capital of Caucasian Albania and part of the Silk Routes.
