Gamigaya and Goy-gol
Gamigaya and Goy-gol Historical-Cultural and Natural Complex is part of the Tentative list of Azerbaijan in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Gamigaya and Goy-gol Historical-Cultural and Natural Complex in Nakhchivan is particularly noted for its petroglyphs. They were made between the 4th and the beginning of the 1st millennium BC. They provide insight into the everyday life of the Early Bronze Age and feature in ancient myths and legends. The surrounding natural landscape includes Lake Goygol, a high-mountain freshwater lake.
