Archaeological site of Aqar Quf (ancient Dur-Kurigalzu) is part of the Tentative list of Iraq in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Archaeological site of Aqar Quf (ancient Dur-Kurigalzu) features the remains of a city from the Kassite Dynasty (circa 16th-12th centuries BCE). These include a massive ziggurat, palaces and temples.
