Petroglyphs of Arpa-Uzen features more than 3500 images on rocks in a gorge at the foot of Karatau mountain range and well protected from winds by nearby hills. It is an important testimony of the people inhabiting those steppes and semi-desertic region, but also of those passing as it stands on an ancient migration route. It dates from the Late Bronze to Early Iron eras.
