Pintados Geoglyphs in the Tarapacá Region
The Pintados Geoglyphs Archaeological Complex testifies to Pre-Columbian caravan routes in the Atacama Desert.
The figures were strategically placed on the slopes of the Sierra de Pintados and were created between 900 and 1500 A.D. The geoglyphs are found in a hyper-arid environment.
