Tashkent Modernist Architecture
Tashkent Modernist Architecture. Modernity and tradition in Central Asia comprises 16 monuments showing a twentieth-century capital's postwar architecture. It was both stimulated by Soviet modernization in the 1960s and by the process of indigenization.
Note about the locations: although the tentative site description lists 16 locations, reliable information leading up to the 2026 nomination suggests that only 10 will be put forward.
