I first discovered the concept of the "World Heritage List" back in 2003 during a road trip, while searching for “things to see in France.” Since then, I’ve been visiting UNESCO sites at a steady pace of 10 to 15 per year, hoping to reach 500 before I turn eighty.

One day, I came across an interview with Els Slots in a small book about world travel and realized I wasn’t alone in my unusual hobby of collecting UNESCO sites. I'm a big fan, and eternally grateful to Els for creating this community — it's an invaluable resource every time I plan my next trip!
