Most frescoes have been removed and are displayed at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya in Barcelona

The frescoes from Casa della Farnesina are on display at the Museo Nazionale Romano.

"Although in the 1960s, some of the wall paintings from Tarquinia were removed and placed in museums, this practice is no longer happening." The Heraklion Archaeological Museum houses the originals of the "Bull-Leaping Fresco," the "Dolphin Fresco," and the "Ladies in Blue."

Many removed frescoes from Pompeii and Herculaneum are on display at the Museo Archeologico at Naples.
