The United Arab Emirates accessed the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 11 May 2001.
Its only inscribed site, Al Ain Oasis and Hafit Tombs, highlights early oasis settlement, aflaj irrigation, and Neolithic heritage in the Arabian interior.
