Zimbabwe ratified the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on 16 August 1982. Its inscribed sites include both cultural and natural properties.
Cultural listings such as Great Zimbabwe, Khami, and Matobo Hills feature themes of ancient stone-built capitals, royal dynasties, prehistoric rock art, and funerary landscapes. Natural sites—Mana Pools and Mosi‑oa‑Tunya/Victoria Falls—highlight outstanding biodiversity, floodplain ecosystems, and dramatic geological formations.
